ACCOST WITH GOD
He had nothing to boast about,
just a few coins and pocketful of doubts.
Cursing his fate, mocking at what he has got,
one day the man met with the God.
Glaring at His eyes with abhorrence
he asked “ are there any limits to my tolerance?
“I’ve been treated unfairly in this world
still you the Almighty have no sympathetic word?
You call yourself Omnipotent and Omnipresent
but still you cannot see my condition at present?”
Hearing these words the Lord smiled and gave a gentle nod
“I’ve been with you, and have seen all the battles you've fought!
Still I am not the one to change your fate, son
I may be harsh on you, but a father never hates his son
Yes you are living in the world of torment
But still I had gifts, which I had sent.
When you feel lonely and bound with ropes
I untangle you with many rays of hopes
When you burn with the fire of desire
I give some of your belongings like a halcyon zephyr
The only thing I cannot give is what you do not own
You get fruits only from all that you've sown
You have power to implant, and that you must keep”
With these words the edifice faded and the man woke from his sleep.
He now knows something that he had never learned
It is only you and your work through which the fate is earned…
